i thought three months apart from my husband would be terrible. and while it has been hard to be apart (especially during the second half), i have been extremely blessed to have made great friends so quickly. to be honest, i'm pretty sure i already have more friends here than we made during our two years in illinois. don't get the wrong impression, our illinois friends are great, people just have a different focus here which is refreshing.
this has been a great blessing for me. being outgoing is something i have always struggled with, and so having to rely on my new friends more than normal has brought a closer connection. it's wonderful to have our church friends, but it was also great when my neighbor called me this weekend to go out for dinner + a movie. i am super excited for garrison to meet everyone and for future adventures we get to go on with them!
that's why one of my goals this year is to be more social. it makes such a difference in being happy with where you live. and you never know who needs a friend as much as you do :)

Nice to meet you :)
I have a similar resolution this year and it's tough! I have a really hard time making time to make friends. Does that make sense? But we also recently moved and so that somehow makes it easier with a fresh start and everything :)
it's all about family and friends in life! love when we get just cause calls... or just cause movie nights on a weekday! such a great network you have while the hubs is away! glad for ya girlie ;)
Being more social is also one of my goals this year, too! We moved to Oregon after we got married a year ago, and I was so nervous to start over, because I usually don't go out of my way to invite people over. Especially when we live in a tiny apartment.
But I was so blessed to have people reach out to me, and in turn I feel like it is so much easier to approach people now and host fun nights in our little space.
Found you via the blog hop and I'm loving your blog!
xoxo
